I realized a couple of days ago that I’m pretty damn crazy busy right now. But the good kind of busy.
Bright and early this Wednesday husband and I leave for my family reunion in Colorado. I smile inside every time I think about spending four full days in the beautiful Estes Park with my awesome, crazy, obnoxious, wonderful family.
The weekend after is husband’s mommy’s birthday. We’re driving up to their house in Port Neches. (very close to Louisiana, a state I discovered I loved when we went in January. Hopefully I can convince him to go for a quick little drive over there too. I think I can.)
A week and a half later my best friend in the whole wide world (who resides up north) comes to see me for a week. It’s been a year since I’ve seen her and I get giddy happy every time I think about it. Also, we’re hoping for a beach trip while she’s here.
A little over two weeks after Meggie leaves, I start school again. I’m actually a little bit excited to start this semester. I have a pretty fun schedule, including classes like sign language and intro to counseling. Learning makes me a happy girl.
Even though I’m the wonderfully awesome kind of busy, I figured it was still a good excuse to spend this weekend relaxing with the hubby and some of my favorite homies.

I half-jokingly told Chelsea to bring a chocolate cake over last night. It sounded good. The girl actually had her mom make a delicious double chocolate cake, that between the nine of us at my place, was almost completely devoured by the end of the night. The moral of this story is….not only are my friends awesome, but their mommies are too.
The below picture will probably become Tessa and I’s trademark best friend picture. Our love for each other is practically glowing.I opened the fridge post-party to find some leftover treats. Yummy mommy-baked cake AND I end the night with many more drinks than I started with. Also, I didn’t throw up this morning. (I learned my lesson a couple of weeks back. Nurse my drinks as slowly as I normally do, and I’ll be just fine.) I’d call the night a major success.
Dude sum of those drinks are mine !!! And that cake was amazing!!!
I love reading your blog because you are always so HAPPY! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a frown on your face so far—maybe it’s all that chocolate and alcohol! 😀 But I hope it stays that way!
I agree her blog is always filled with Happiness. I wonder how Christina will act when the disappointments creep up upon her. Any thoughts Christina?
That’s a good question 🙂 answer: as young as i am,it’s not that I’ve never been disappointed before. I have. I just try to look at all of the good instead of the sad/bad. I believe happiness is a choice, not something based on circumstances. But having so many happy and loving people in my life definitely makes even the most disappointing of days all the more bearable 🙂
Honestly, Christina! I’d much rather read blogs full of lement and disappointment. Hop on the disappointed train already.
lament*
Just having met Christina, I can tell you that she has a lot of life experience compared to the average early 20-something. I’ve found that people with her life experience and enthusiasm for life are the most well-equipped to deal with life’s disappointments.
Greetings from Idaho! I’m bored at work so I decided to bswore your website on my iphone during lunch break. I enjoy the knowledge you provide here and can’t wait to take a look when I get home. I’m shocked at how fast your blog loaded on my mobile .. I’m not even using WIFI, just 3G .. Anyways, great blog!
I hope you enjoy sign language. I was 2 classes from certification as an interpreter when my brain completely lost the ability to read sign. I could still “speak” it, but could no longer understand it. Totally odd.
that is odd! and very interesting. totally something i could see happening to me haha
The cake looks yummy and the collection of your shots looks like fun-I like it and also you banner is cool. Have a nice day 🙂 (I have a new blog-and you are everytime welcome:-))
aww thank-you!
“I half-jokingly told Chelsea to bring a chocolate cake over last night” be careful what you ask for….just think about all of those calories that you have consumed:)
Haha it’s okay,I’m young and skinny now. I’ll worry about that later in life :p
plus having fun definitely burns calories. So on a fun scale of 1-chocolate cake as long as you’re having chocolate cake, the you’re expending what you’re taking in. =]
yea you dont need to count them yet.
haha why thank-you anonymous (aka husband who doesn’t know how to put in his name :P)
Um…why do you care how many calories she’s consuming?

Today, while I was at work, my cousin stole my iphone and tested to see if it can survive a
forty foot drop, just so she can be a youtube sensation. My apple ipad is now destroyed and she has 83 views.
I know this is completely off topic but I had to share it with someone!
