Last week I posted a list of just a few of the things that had encompassed happy for me recently. I found it to be a fun and simple way to update on all of life’s many joys. I’m thinking of keeping a running list on the blog. For now, here’s part two:
- Re-finding an adorable Valentine’s note in my folder that friend Becca had written me in class:
- Progressing in my goal to become more fluent in Spanish by attending my first conversational practice meet-up
- Signing up for my first race of 2013
- Rollerskating date with the husband :
- Followed by date night meal with this same boy, which included a salted caramel cake and chocolate torte for dessert. Yum.
- Girl’s night with favorites:
- Planning an upcoming vacation with my dude. (aka Robby) Excited little shriek goes here.
- Speaking of the dude. Tomorrow is Robby’s birthday. He’s turning THIRTY. He loves Star Wars and he’s old, so imagine my excitement in finding this absolutely perfect card:
Hee-Hee. Okay, but seriously. I wrote this really sappy, emotional, two-page (My mind is so in school-mode right now that I feel the need to mention that it wasn’t even double-spaced.) birthday letter for him that I’m going to spare y’all from. But I will say this: He was newly twenty-five when we met. I was newly nineteen. Now he’s turning thirty and I’ll soon be twenty-four. Oh my goodness, time flies, and I’m so incredibly glad my time is flying with Robby Boudreaux by my side.
Happy birthday to Robby!! yaayyy February birthdays!!
How cute is that V-day card?!?!
There are so many February birthdays! Are you one of them? If so, Happy Belated or Early B-day! 😛
Just wanted to let eroeyvne know, just in case any of you forgot, we have the absolute coolest freaking family in the universe. It is just amazing to me how we all are so different yet we all manage to mesh so well. Yep, we are super lucky.
That addresses several of my concerns actually.
Happy birthday to Robby! I love the card… totally made me LOL!
I love the rollerskating date!
Thanks! It was fun. And I am an awful roller-blader 😛
Rollerskating?! Brilliant! I used to love that! I haven’t been in such a long time. That definitely needs to change. And girl, I hear ya on the time flying thing. I was newly 17 and he was 18 when we started dating and now I’m 25 (26 this summer) and he’s 27! It’s crazy how fast the time goes. But it’s oh so great, right?! 🙂
Ha I almost fell so many times! But so much fun.
Awww so cute! I love you two together.
And yes crazy/great/but I want it to slow down just a little!!!!!
LOL @ the birthday card – I hope he had a wonderful day. And, I love the sound of a salted caramel cake!
Hehe. 😉
It was so yummy!
LOL! I love that last card! It’s something I would buy for a friend in a heart beat.
Haha, right?!
Awww happy upcoming birthday to your hubby!! My boyfriend is…32!! HA! We met when he was 30..and I LOVED his old man scruff and old soul. Who ever said older men were a bad idea!? You two complete me!
Awww to old man scruff+old soul.
Though I tease Robby about it endlessly, I love that he’s older. It’s sexy and I think I’d kill a dude my own age.
You complete ME!
Wow, this is in every reecpst what I needed to know.
Aweee February is such a good birthday month 😉 And now you have me craving dessert like no other! Those look amazing!
Is this your birthday month too!?!?!?
SO good!!!! My mouth is watering thinking about those yummy little morsels.
